French Roulette

While the game of roulette is pretty standard throughout the world, there are various versions that offer key differences. In American roulette, players will see the single zero and double 0 numbers on the wheel, while in the European variety a single zero can only be found. However, there is another version of this popular game that players can surely enjoy – French Roulette online.

Online French Roulette

Originally developed in 18th century France, Roulette means ‘little wheel’. However, this little wheel soon became a big sensation, complete with huge winning opportunities on every spin.

When trying online French version for the first time, players will notice that the table layout is slightly different and the French terminologies of the game are used. The key difference, however, is a feature referred to as ‘Call Bets’. This feature allows players to bet on sequences that have been predetermined. An example would be Finales en plein (Finals), which means a bet on numbers ending with the same number, straight up and ‘Les voisins’ (The neighbours’ Bet, which is a bet that covers the same number and two numbers surrounding it).

French Roulette Bet Types

The standard French Roulette table features the numbers 1-36 and a single zero. This is divided into two parts, which make up to two different outside bets. This is Manque (numbers 1-18), and Passe (19-36). Additionally, players can also enjoy the ‘La Partage’ feature. This is a great feature as it allows players to lose only half of their bet if the ball lands on the single zero.

Inside bets, which are bets on individual numbers or small groups of numbers, have higher odds and higher payouts. Outside bets apply to bets made on larger groups of numbers or colours. The larger the group of numbers, the lower the odds.  Along with different country variants of Roulette, you can also play Premier, and Live Roulette online.
